Before joining Newsela, Liz was an elementary teacher, during which time she taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. She brings subject matter expertise in the areas of ELA, Social Studies, and Science at the upper elementary levels, as well as expertise in problem-based learning and social-emotional curriculum writing.
