Solutions Architect, Newsela

Nicole partners with districts across the country to conceptualize and build solutions aligned to districts’ unique curricular and instructional priorities. As part of Newsela's Content Solutions team, Nicole has architected content solutions for districts in over 22 states across core curriculum areas. Most recently, Nicole has worked closely with a district in Oregon to design an inquiry-aligned social studies curriculum that creates connections across eras to make learning more relevant for students.

Carly Muetterties

Design Lead, Summit Learning

Carly is a Design Lead at Summit Learning and current doctoral candidate at the University of Kentucky in Education Sciences, with a focus on social studies curriculum and instruction. Prior to her doctoral studies, Carly was a high school social studies teacher. She serves as the managing editor of C3Teachers.org, which hosts resources aligned with the C3 Framework. She is also the executive director of the Kentucky Council for the Social Studies, leading efforts in supporting and advocating on behalf of teachers and social studies learning in Kentucky and beyond.
